Toronto Premier Cricket League (TPCL) is an active body with a mission to promote and develop the game of cricket in City of Toronto and to provide direction and vision to all cricket lovers and enthusiasts in our community.

The Vision

TPCL will promote cricket in the City of Toronto and surrounding GTA area and create opportunity for professional development. TPCL will work with communities and other cricket organizations to promote the game of crickets in Toronto and in Canada. TPCL will provide leadership and professional network opportunities for young people through the game of cricket.

Toronto council passes motion to boost support for cricket. The game of cricket was once Canada's national sport, but for much of the 20th century it didn't get its due. Now in the 21st century, that is changing: it is becoming the fastest-growing sport in Canada. And on June 27, Toronto council voted to come up with a city-wide strategy for supporting the sport both nationally and locally.
Council supported a motion by Scarborough Rouge River Councillor Neethan Shan to establish a cricket reference group, made up of city staff and community organizations, to look at ways to boost the sport in Toronto.
